Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional quantum computing research initiatives targeting 2026 technological milestones
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for practical enterprise applications
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature journals
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum error correction methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum processors
- File 5+ patents annually in quantum cryptography and machine learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years quantum computing research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Published work in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
