Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex molecular simulations
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from government and private entities
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop patentable quantum hardware optimization techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding (NSF, DOE)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems
