Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
- Translate theoretical advances into commercial IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2025 graduates welcome)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, Q# simulator)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
