Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 3D-qubit architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design error-corrected quantum processors
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Author white papers positioning our 2026 quantum roadmap
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq) or real quantum hardware
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Track record of securing government research funding
