Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with materials scientists to engineer qubit architectures with coherence >100ms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and tensor network simulations
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum hardware SDKs
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubit architectures and control systems
- Experience with machine learning for quantum error mitigation
- Strong background in condensed matter physics and many-body systems
- Ability to secure federal research funding
