Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate decoherence in 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 first-author papers)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency in quantum error correction codes (surface codes, color codes)
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Clearable US government security clearance preferred
