Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence beyond 2026 industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from federal and private funding sources
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum machine learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DOE, or DARPA)
