Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and simulation
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory and algorithms
