Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Optimize quantum circuit performance using error correction and noise mitigation techniques
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum software frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum theory and practical implementations
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private sector partners
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum computing field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex mathematical and computational challenges
- Excellent communication abilities for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
