Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected quantum computing architectures
- Lead research projects in quantum-resistant cryptography for 2026 security standards
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation with AI and biotech teams
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum error correction methodologies
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware constraints (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into practical applications
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for classified projects
