Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing stacks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science and lead patent development
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $5M+ in annual DARPA/NASA grants
- Present breakthroughs at quantum computing summits (Q2C, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum error correction
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
