Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants annually
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware implementations
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications per year in QIP/Physical Review X
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum adoption roadmaps
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with Qiskit/Cirq and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-institutional quantum projects
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Clearance for DoD quantum research initiatives (or ability to obtain)
