Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit processors
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum-resistant cryptography research
- Mentor postdoctoral fellows in quantum error correction techniques
- Develop patentable quantum hardware-software interfaces for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware calibration protocols
