Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization and cryptography
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects to commercialize quantum applications
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from government and private institutions
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Experience mentoring graduate-level researchers
