Responsibilities
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Design and implement quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuits
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and cybersecurity teams
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum programming
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Deep knowledge of cryptographic principles and post-quantum standards
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts to practical implementations
