Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Develop IP portfolios for quantum encryption standards
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum complexity theory
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in error correction protocols and fault tolerance
- Strong Python/C++ programming with parallel computing skills
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning frameworks
- Clearance for DOE quantum research programs preferred
