Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead interdisciplinary research teams across physics, computer science, and materials engineering
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Translate theoretical quantum concepts into practical commercial applications
- Secure federal grants and DARPA partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 papers)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with low-level systems programming
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Ability to secure SBIR/STTR grants or equivalent funding mechanisms
