Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier scientific journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of quantum literacy
- Secure and manage government/private research funding
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complex systems
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex concepts into executable research plans
