Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype next-gen quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects with government and industry partners
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit design using Qiskit or Cirq
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting or photonic qubits
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
- US citizenship required for government collaboration
