Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier scientific journals and industry conferences
- Develop quantum error correction techniques to enhance system reliability
- Collaborate with product teams to translate research into commercial quantum solutions
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq) and quantum simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
