Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Author high-impact research publications and patent disclosures
- Partner with industry leaders to deploy quantum solutions in real-world scenarios
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years post-doctoral research
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Track record of securing federal research grants
