Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance on superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with software engineers to create quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through DARPA and NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation platforms
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for government projects
