Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on IBM, Rigetti, and D-Wave systems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for noisy intermediate-scale quantum computers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing open-source projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming with Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical solutions
