Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and molecular modeling
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $1M+/year
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Proven track record of publications in quantum computing research
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, Google)
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra and probability
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
