Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and supply chain
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on 100+ qubit processors
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Present research findings at premier conferences including IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD programs
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and quantum engineering interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or top-tier quantum conferences
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Track record of securing federal research grants or corporate partnerships
- Expertise in NISQ algorithm development and benchmarking
