Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum hardware prototypes
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure federal grants and private funding for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum physics
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware programming
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of securing research funding (> $500K)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
