Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubit systems at 15mK temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in DOE/NIST grant funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with HPC optimization experience
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Clearance for DOE QIS research preferred
