Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science)
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers
- Collaborate with industry partners (IBM, Google, Microsoft) on open-source quantum frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published work in quantum information theory or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level system programming
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (D-Wave, Rigetti)
