Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors and validate performance
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for practical industry solutions
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and contribute to our quantum computing curriculum
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Strong background in quantum information theory and topological quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
