Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and secure patents
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Interface with government agencies on quantum security standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information science
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and microwave control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing environments
- Ability to secure DoD/NSF quantum research grants preferred
