Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype next-generation quantum processors
- Publish high-impact research in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Secure research funding through federal grants and private partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with hardware/software teams
