Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and coherence optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processor architectures
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing principles
- Develop open-source quantum simulation tools for the global research community
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming with Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks like PennyLane
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
