Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum error correction methods
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent on quantum computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
