Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical business solutions for Fortune 500 clients
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Present findings at global quantum summits (e.g., Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
