Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware/software platforms
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Clearance eligibility for DoE/NIST projects
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants ($1M+)
