Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation strategies for NISQ-era quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Publish research in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Secure and manage $5M+ research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science or related fields
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
