Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-resistant cryptography systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software-hardware integration gaps
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Develop patentable intellectual property in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
