Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era applications
- Lead quantum hardware optimization projects with 100+ qubit systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols achieving 99.99% fidelity
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor 5+ junior researchers in quantum mechanics principles
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization tools
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA)
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum data analysis
- Track record of open-source contributions to quantum computing frameworks
