Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NP-hard optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on cryogenic systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing pipelines for enterprise applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government/private quantum research grants
- Mentor cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq preferred)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Proficiency in low-level quantum hardware control systems (Q# or QASM)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Expertise in machine learning for quantum system calibration
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
