Responsibilities
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems for 2026-era quantum processors
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, information theory, and complexity classes
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum computing
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra and statistical modeling
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
