Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation strategies for quantum hardware systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead research publications in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Translate theoretical quantum computing concepts into practical applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming and experimental protocols
- Identify emerging quantum computing applications for commercial deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional research environments
