Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected qubit systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical partners on molecular simulation projects
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government research grants
- Present findings at global quantum computing conferences (Q2B, IEEE)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Track record of securing competitive research funding (NSF, DARPA)
