Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on quantum coherence and error correction methodologies
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for commercial applications
- Secure and manage $10M+ research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature Physics and Science journals
- Architect scalable quantum architectures for 2026 deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with trapped ions or superconducting qubits
