Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum solutions on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Computing Summit
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 10 peer-reviewed papers)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms with demonstrated performance advantages
- Experience with quantum hardware architectures (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
