Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes to achieve fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware integration and performance benchmarking
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Present findings at international quantum conferences and industry summits
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
- Maintain compliance with quantum security standards and ethical frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Quantum journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Proven track record of translating theory to practical quantum applications
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
