Job Description
We are building the infrastructure for the post-silicon era. Nexus Horizon is seeking a visionary Quantum Systems Architect to lead the development of scalable quantum computing architectures aimed at deployment in 2026. You will bridge the gap between theoretical quantum physics and practical engineering solutions.
Join a team of elite engineers and scientists dedicated to solving humanity's most complex computational problems. This role is critical for our mission to establish dominance in the quantum supremacy race.
Responsibilities
- Architect Design: Design next-generation quantum circuit architectures optimized for 2026 hardware standards, focusing on scalability and coherence time.
- Error Correction: Develop and implement advanced quantum error correction (QEC) codes to enhance qubit stability and fault tolerance.
- Integration: Oversee the integration of superconducting qubit arrays with classical control systems and software stacks.
- Simulation: Build high-fidelity simulation environments to model quantum behavior under various thermal and magnetic conditions.
- Prototyping: Lead the prototyping of novel qubit coupling techniques to minimize decoherence.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Masterβs degree in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in quantum computing research, hardware engineering, or algorithm development.
- Tools: Proficiency in Python, C++, and major quantum SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PyQuil).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of thermodynamics, cryogenics, and semiconductor physics is required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
