Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end design, deployment, and scaling of stadium-wide Wi-Fi, 5G, and IoT networks.
- Project Management: Oversee the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, coordinating with construction teams and vendors to meet FIFA deadlines.
- System Optimization: Monitor network performance in real-time to ensure zero downtime during matches and high-traffic events.
- Security Compliance: Implement enterprise-grade cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive fan data and broadcast feeds.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a diverse team of network engineers, support staff, and IT specialists.
- Vendor Relations: Manage third-party service providers and negotiate contracts for hardware and software solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, or large-scale event technology.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SDN, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), VoIP, and network virtualization.
- Project Management: PMP or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to host venues across the USA, Canada, and Mexico as required.
