Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Technical Delivery: Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of complex technical projects, ensuring alignment with the 2026 Winter Olympics operational goals and timeline.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, vendors, and international partners, translating technical jargon into actionable business insights.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential technical and logistical bottlenecks early and implement robust contingency plans to ensure zero downtime during critical phases.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and inspire a diverse team of engineers, project managers, and QA specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of all legacy systems being migrated or upgraded for the event.
- Compliance & Standards: Adhere to international IT security standards and governance protocols specific to large-scale sporting events.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, with a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure or event management.
- Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and enterprise-level IT architecture.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to strategic sites and international partner locations as required.
