Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take patient vital signs and medical histories.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Manage the front desk, including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends.
