Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and basic laboratory tests
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient medical records
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Ensure sterile equipment and clean clinical environments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Ability to work independently on weekend shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
